Real Madrid qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League, but in second place from their groupReuters

With the action on Wednesday, all 16 teams that will play in the first stage of the knockout rounds of the Uefa Champions League have been decided. And in the draw on Monday, some interesting contests could emerge.

While Arsenal finally topped their Champions League group after an emphatic win over FC Basel, they could still be in for a really difficult last 16 match, if that luck of theirs goes on a holiday again. Two other Premier League clubs in Leicester City, who also won their group, and Manchester City, who had to settle for second behind Barcelona, will join Arsenal.

The only team from England not to make it to the last 16 was Tottenham, who finished third in their group, which means they will play in the Europa League when European competition returns in 2017.

Joining the three Premier League clubs in the next round are defending champions Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Juventus, PSG, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Monaco, Napoli, Sevilla, Benfica, Bayer Leverkusen and FC Porto.

Every single one of the teams that have made it to the round of 16 will hope for a kind draw, just so that they can stay in the competition and look to make a deep run in the Champions League this season.

Here is the complete list of qualified teams and final standings:
