Leading smartphone maker Samsung on Wednesday, 6 January, unveiled the TabPro S 2-in-1 tablet at the ongoing CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2016, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
"Galaxy TabPro S balances the best of Samsung's Galaxy Tab with the wealth of features on the Windows 10 operating system for the most advanced tablet experience on the market," said Dongjin Ko, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics.
"We're thrilled to be working with Microsoft Corp. to deliver a 2-in-1 tablet that truly allows people to enjoy productivity and connections that matter most, through a seamless mobile station designed for all purposes," he added.
The new Samsung TabPro S sports a sleek body design language. It measures just 6.3 mm thick, slimmer than the rival Apple iPad Pro and Microsoft's Surface Pro slates.
This premium tablet flaunts 12.0-inch super AMOLED display with 2160x1440p resolution and comes with full-sized keyboard cover.
It runs on the Microsoft's Window 10 OS backed by 2.2GHz 6th gen Intel Core M dual-core CPU with sumptuous 4GB RAM, 128GB/256GB SSD hard-drive and a 5200 mAh cell which promises 10.5 hours of battery life.
The company is also offering accessories which include multi-port adapter (HDMI, USB Type A & C) and Bluetooth Pen. Both have to be purchased separately.
Samsung has confirmed that the new TabPro S will hit stores in February, but the details with regard to device's price are still under wraps. Stay tuned for more updates.
