Bollywood couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor organized a private pre-wedding party at Kareena's Bandra residence on Sunday. It was a celebrity galore with many big names in the entertainment industry gracing the party, dubbed as the "sangeet ceremony" by various sections of the media.
Celebrities like Sanjay Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Manish Malhotra, Soha Ali Khan, Babita, Kunal Khemu, Malaika Arora, Karan Johar, Vikram Phadnis, Tusshar Kapoor, Amrita Arora and several others attended the pre-wedding party on Sunday.
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are said to be taking their five-year-old relationship to the next level by tying the knot on Tuesday (Oct 16) at a private function to be attended by their close friends and relatives. Saif's mother Sharmila Tagore had earlier ended speculations on the 'Bollywood wedding of the year' by announcing that it would happen in October.
It is reported that Raghavendra Rathore will design Saif Ali Khan's wedding clothes, while Manish Malhotra will take care Kareena's outfits for the big day and other events related to her wedding. It is also reported that Kareena will wear Sharmila's bridal dress for the main event but will don Manish Malhotra's creation for other ceremonies.
Media reports have it that the couple has booked several hotels for their big fat wedding and Sharmila Tagore has reportedly sent out invitations for the Dawat-e-Walima. It is also said that she has invited President Pranab Mukherjee to the event but he is unlikely to make it.
It may be recalled that Kareena ended her three-year relationship with Shahid Kapoor after meeting Saif during the shooting of "Tashan" in 2007. Since then, their relationship has been going strong.
Saif was earlier married to actress Amrita Singh and they have two children together - son Ibrahim and daughter Sara.
