The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the eagerly-awaited class X results 2012. The CBSE declared the results of the regions namely - Allahabad, Ajmer, Bhubaneshwar, Delhi, Patna, Guwahati and Panchkula, at around 7 pm on Thursday.

The percentage of students who have cleared the examination is 98.19. Girls outshone boys once again with 98.48 passing percentage as compared to that of boys at 97.98%.

A total number of 1179182 candidates were registered for class X examination this year. This amounts for an increase of about 11 % candidates over that of last year.

The CBSE class X results of Chennai were declared on May 21 with pass percentage of 99.45, which is the highest as compared to other regions. 

The board will conduct second phase counselling from May 24 to June 7, which will be available for both parents and students through calls, interactive voice response system (IVRS) and CBSE website.

The CBSE Proficiency Test 2012 for class X students will be conducted between July 9 and July 13, and students appearing in class X exam this year are eligible to take the test.

CBSE has made a special arrangement for students and schools for the quick access of results. To find out the results, students can log on to these links www.results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in, www.cbse.nic.in.

Schools can register themselves on the given website to get entire results of their respective schools by just giving their school code and email-id. Students can also find out their results on their e-mail address by registering themselves on the websites.

CBSE, with the help of National Informatics Centre (NIC), Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Govt. of India, will be broadcasting the results through IVRS too.
