Casio India Co. Pvt. Ltd. (CIC) has launched its EcoLite XJ-V1 projector, which combines high brightness, amplified colour spectrum and an eco-friendly design in India.

The projector is powered by Casio's 5th generation Laser & LED Hybrid Light Source technology, which combines a laser, fluorescent element and LEDs to generate high brightness, 20,000-hour estimated lifespan with minimal brightness degradation and continuous operation. It also provides a 30 percent increase in LED light output, thus offering a greater increase in colour spectrum when compared to a mercury lamp.

The projector also reduces power consumption for lower CO2 emissions and reduces the perilous impact of mercury in the environment.

The XJ-V1 projector consumes half the amount of power per unit than traditional lamp-based projectors. Power consumption with even the brightest setting is only 180Watt. The eco-mode reduces power consumption by 50 percent. The LampFree technology also ensures less maintenance and eliminates the need to replace expensive and hazardous mercury lamps, which makes them cost effective and safer for the environment.

Speaking on this launch Kulbhushan Seth, vice president of Casio India said, "The projector has been launched to widen latest technology- Laser & LED Hybrid Light Source green technology amongst the masses. The compact and lightweight design of projector is ideal for a variety of applications especially for heavy users like schools, institutions and offices who wants to upgrade to this greener technology at reasonable investment. To make this greener technology more affordable for the masses, we are offering a buyback offer of Rs 3,000 for consumers willing to replace existing old working mercury lamp projectors with the EcoLite™ XJ-V1 projector," he added.

Casio's EcoLite™ XJ-V1 projector features a throw ratio of 1.54-1.71: 1, 1.1x optical zoom, producing 2,700 lumens of brightness, and boasts XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, which is suitable for displaying content from video and computer sources. It also features inputs for RGB and HDMI and includes a variable audio output for external audio and dust resistance structure.

The projector comes with a standard three-year warranty on Main Projector Unit along with a five-year or 10,000-hour warranty on the Hybrid Laser & LED light source.
