Captain America and Tony Starks are the two pillars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With the upcoming Avengers: Endgame, it is somehow confirmed that either of the two superheroes won't make it against Thanos. There have been several speculations as to who is going to die and how they are going to die, a recent fan theory suggests a very heartbreaking moment between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers.

As per a recent heart-wrenching fan theory, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) will die sacrificing himself to save none other than a pregnant Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow). His death from the hands of Thanos will reportedly allow her fiancé Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) to kill the Mad Titan once and for all and finally retire from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In addition to this, there are chances that a pregnant Pepper Potts will wear her own Iron Man suit, known to comic book lovers as Rescue and will attack Thanos. This will let Steve help her and their fight will ultimately lead to his death. As per the fan on Reddit, after Steve Rogers will sacrifice himself, Tony will fight Thanos for one final time with all the rage against him. At the same time, in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, it was shown how Stark has served as a mentor and father figure to Peter Parker (Tom Holland), so it will all work as small pieces to a larger puzzle.

"Tony will have the upper hand, filled with rage that Thanos tried to kill Pepper and that Steve sacrificed himself for Tony and his family when he realizes he didn't deserve that sacrifice. So he will fight Thanos to earn that sacrifice, truly embodying what it means to be a hero (for a long time Tony wavers between what is right and what is self-beneficial in his own movies). This is Tony's chance to "become" Captain America. Tony will be the one who says "Avengers, Assemble." And he will use his Iron Man suit and Captain America's shield in combination to defeat Thanos."

As earlier reported, there are hundreds of theories making rounds over the Internet and most of the theories point towards a heartbreaking climax. More will be unveiled when Marvel will release the first full-length trailer of Avengers: Endgame.

Avengers: Endgame movie is scheduled to release on April 26, 2019.
