Arsenal were knocked out in the third round of the League Cup last year, and this season will be, if anything, a lot more difficult after Arsene Wenger's men were drawn against their North London rivals Tottenham.

The third round of the Capital One Cup has drawn up quite a few intriguing matches, but none more exciting than the North London derby at White Hart Lane.

Last season, Arsenal were knocked out of the League Cup by Southampton, while Spurs went all the way to the final, before losing to Chelsea.

One of the two big teams from North London will be left disappointed after just the third round of the Capital One Cup 2015.

Elsewhere, Manchester United will host Ipswich Town in the third round, and Louis Van Gaal will hope for a better result than the one last season, when MK Dons embarrassed them 4-0 in the second round. Milton Keynes Dons will play hosts to Southampton in their third round match.

The holders Chelsea will travel to Walsall, while Liverpool will host Carlisle United, who upset QPR in the previous round.

Apart from the North London Derby, there are three more all-English Premier League clashes, with the first of those being Manchester City vs Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, after Dick Advocaat's men moved into the third round following a 6-3 win over Exeter, thanks to a hat-trick from Jermain Defoe.

Newly-promoted Norwich City host West Brom at Carrow Road, while Claudio Ranieri's Leicester City play Slaven Bilic's West Ham to round off the all-Premier League matches.

There are 16 third round ties in total, and they will be played during the week from 21 September.
