Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is making a comeback to the silver screen with "Jazbaa" after a hiatus of five years, will reportedly reveal the first look of the film at the 68th Cannes Film Festival that starts from 13 May in Cannes, France.

The former Miss World will unveil the look at the United Nations panel discussion on 16 May, followed by a media event on 19 May.

At the event, the Bollywood actress will reportedly discuss issues like gender equality along with elite panellists like Salma Hayek, Adele Exarchopoulos, and upcoming British-American film "Carol" producers Elizabeth Kushel and Christine Vachone.

Further, the "Jazbaa" trailer will be displayed at the event in the presence of Akash Chawla, Essel Vision's business head and the film's director Sanjay Gupta. This is Aishwarya's third film to be premiered at the prestigious festival after "Devdas" and "Raavan".

"Most films define the man as the only hero but in this case all three actors, Aishwarya, Shabana Azmi and Irrfan Khan, have equally significant roles in taking the story forward. And since the trio have a prominent international presence, an event at Cannes, which is the most prestigious film festival, was a welcome opportunity to get the international media together under one roof," Chawla said in a statement, according to IANS.

"Jazbaa" is a female-centric film that will see Aishwarya play the role of a lawyer and perform some high octane never-seen-before action sequences. The film also features Irrfan Khan and Shabana Azmi and will hit the theatres on 9 October.
