Latehar, Nov 04 (ANI): Candidates filed nominations for the first time in Jharkhand even as Maoists called for a boycott of the elections scheduled for later this month. The five-phased state assembly polls in Jharkhand will begin from November 25 and end on December 20. The results would be announced on December 23. A voter Sashi Kumar said that they look forward to better amenities. A candidate of RJD, Ramchandra Singh filed his nomination. Enrolment of over 5,000 workers was also witnessed in the Maoist infested Latehar district. However, a local Yogesh Prasad said that despite being a Maoist affected area, the locals took part in the nominations with great enthusiasm playing drums and performing folk dance. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) team was deployed in the area to manage any unwanted situation.
