While numerous celebrities and youngsters are known to be obsessed with selfies, this one definitely takes the cake. A Canadian adventurer dropped himself into an erupting Marum volcano on Ambrym Island, Vanuatu, to take a selfie.

George Kourounis, who is popular for his television series "Angry Planet", took a video from the edge of a boiling lava lake in Vanuatu. The Republic of Vanuatu is an Oceanian island nation located in the South Pacific Ocean.

"Panorama shot from the top, looking down 1200 feet to the Marum lava lake," Kourounis tweeted.

The daredevil stepped to the edge of erupting lava lake to capture the video and also to take his picture. Kourounis was wearing a heat suit, which protected him from the boiling temperature of that place.

It was so hot that his camera melted, but he managed to take a selfie. The suit was also destroyed due to the intoxicating acid rain on the volcano.

"The suit that protected me from the lava's heat. It was destroyed by the potent acid rain on the volcano," Kourounis tweeted.
