Sledgehammer has released a new patch for its FPS title, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. The patch promises to bring improvements to the game's multiplayer on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Advanced Warfare adds new elements to the FPS gameplay with features like exoskeleton, ability to jump vertically and grappling, cloaking ability, advanced armour, advanced weaponry, addition of hoverbikes and special drones. The game has Hollywood actor, Kevin Spacey as the head of the Atlas Corporation, a Private Military Corporation.

The game is set in 2054 and at a time when there is no particular superpower. Terrorists have become stronger and national military weaker, leading to greater role of PMCs in leading such offensives against terrorism

Activision has said that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is "biggest entertainment launch" of 2014. It also said that Advanced Warfare was "highest-selling digital launch" in console history. It added that there were more than 370 million online matches in the first week of its release, reported GameSpot.

Advanced Warfare was released on 4 November 2014 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
