Bangalore, Jan 03 (ANI): Former chief minister of Karnataka BS Yeddyurappa rejoined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and would merge his regional Karnataka Janata Paksha (KJP) ahead of 2014 general elections. This came a year after Yeddyurappa walked out of the party alleging betrayal. Yeddyurappa, a strongman from the majority Lingayat community, said formalities would be completed within three to four days. Senior BJP leader Ananth Kumar said the sole purpose of the merger was to defeat the Congress Party.
