At least five people were injured after a bus carrying police officers in Turkey's Adana region was targeted in a bomb attack on Wednesday, September 25, according to state media. 

An improvised explosive device (IED) that was planted on a road detonated in Adana's Yuregir district after the bus passed over it, according to Daily Sabah's reports. Individuals wounded in the attack were taken to a nearby hospital.

Adana Governor Mahmut Demirtas stated four civilians and a policeman were injured in the attack. He also said that their condition was not critical.

Security forces have sealed off the area and are examining the scene. While it is not clear who was behind the attack, an official investigation has been launched.
