Ravi Teja's "Power" is gearing up for a massive release on 12 September. The film's worldwide screen count amounts to over 900 screens.

"Power" is touted to be a complete entertainer with mass elements that fans would expect from a Ravi Teja starrer. The film's teaser and the trailer have suggested that it will be a commercial fare with loads of action and punch dialogues.

Ravi Teja will be playing the role of a cop in the film, while Hansika and Regina will be appearing as the female leads. Brahmanandam is expected to provide comic relief in the action-packed entertainer. Kota Srinivasa Rao, Prakash Raj, Brahmaji, Posani Krishna Murali, Mukesh Rishi, Sampath Raj and Ajay are also part of the cast.

The film's songs, composed by Thaman, have already received good response from the fans. K. S. Ravindranath aka Bobby has directed the film, while Rockline Venkatesh has produced it.

"Power" will be having a solo release on the first day and is expected to take big openings on the opening day considering Teja's star power and the positive pre-release buzz surrounding the project.

It will be interesting to see if the film surpasses the opening day collections of Teja's "Balupu", which hit the screens last year.

"Balupu" took a good opening by minting ₹3.89 crore on the first day at the AP box office. The film earned a share of ₹9.31 crore in three days and registered the highest opening ever for a Teja film, according to idlebrain. The action entertainer worked wonders at the box office as audiences liked mass maharaja's avatar in the film.

It remains to be seen if "Power", which also shows Teja in a mass avatar, will impress the audience. Although the film will be having a solo release on the opening day, it will be facing competition from Vishnu Manchu's "Anukshanam", which will be released on 13 September.

"Anukshanam", directed by Ram Gopal Varma, is a crime thriller with Vishnu playing a cop's role. The trailer of the film has generated decent buzz about the project. Vishnu has produced the crime thriller under Twenty Four Frames Factory banner.

With "Power" and "Anushkanam" releasing just a day apart, fans can expect a big clash at the box office. One needs to wait and watch as to which film emerges on top.
