Vikram's Iru Mugan has continued to pull the audience to theatres in big numbers in its second weekend despite facing competition from new releases like Bollywood film Pink and Tamil movie Nayaki, which stars Trisha Krishnan in the lead role, at the Chennai box office.

Iru Mugan has earned Rs 1.05 crore in its second weekend from 270 shows in Chennai. It had collected Rs 1.49 crore in weekdays from 464 shows. The film, which had minted Rs 2.24 crore in its first weekend, has ended its 11-day collection at Rs 4.79 crore in the capital city of Tamil Nadu, reports Behindwoods.

Bollywood film Pink has collected Rs 25.27 lakh from 84 shows in its first weekend. It is an impressive number for a Hindi film, say trade experts. The Amitabh Bachchan-starrer is expected to perform well, given the good word-of-mouth publicity.

Trisha Krishnan's Nayagi is in the third place at the Chennai box office, after it earned Rs 22.19 lakh from 87 shows. The movie has opened to mixed reviews. It has to be seen how it will perform in the days to come.

Hollywood film Don't Breathe has entered its third weekend, and it has earned Rs 8.04 lakh from 48 shows to take its 10-day total tally to Rs 87.51 lakh. The film had raked in Rs 31.48 lakh and Rs 15.42 lakh in the first and second weekends, respectively.

Hindi film Baar Baar Dekho has earned Rs 1.19 lakh from nine shows, to take its total tally to Rs 43.12 lakh by the end of its second weekend. Sasikumar's Kidaari has collected Rs. 2.76 lakh to end its third weekend at Rs 1.90 crore.

Hollywood film The Shallows has minted Rs 11.40 lakh from 57 shows while Sadhuram 2 has earned Rs 9.09 lakh from 36 shows in its first weekend.
