Vijay Sethupathi's "Dharmadurai" has done well at the Chennai box office in its second weekend despite facing competition from a few Tamil movies and the Hollywood movie, "Mechanic: Resurrection."

In its second weekend, "Dharmadurai" has raked in Rs. 76.64 lakh from 216 shows. In its opening weekend, the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer had minted Rs. 1.09 crore. The 10-day collection of the recently-released movie at the Chennai box office stands at Rs. 2.78 crore, which is a fantastic number for a Sethupathi flick.

Hollywood movie "Mechanic: Resurrection" is in the second place at the Chennai box office after it got a grand welcome and collected Rs. 34.08 lakh from 99 shows. The performance of the English film shows once again that Chennai is gradually turning out to be a good market for Hollywood movies.

In the recent times, several Hollywood films, including "The Jungle Book," have done well in Chennai.

Raju Murugan's "Joker," which won positive reviews from the critics and the audience, is also holding well in Chennai. In its third weekend, the movie collected Rs. 15.16 lakh from 81 shows. The total collection of the film stands at Rs. 1.03 crore.

The most-recent release, "Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai," has got an average opening in Chennai. It earned Rs. 14.54 lakh from 72 shows. The film has received fairly positive reviews, and hence the collection is expected to go up in the days to come.

The other new release — "54321" — had 33 shows, from which it collected Rs. 3.88 lakh.
