Malda, Feb 17 (ANI): In yet another fratricidal incident, an Indian soldier killed his colleague and injured four others in West Bengal on Tuesday (February 17). Basant Singh opened fire on sleeping personnel after a heated argument, killing a head constable at a Border Security Force (BSF) camp in Malda town. Deputy Inspector General of Border Security Force (BSF), Raj Singh Rathor, said the assailant ran away after the incident and search is on to nab him. Indian armed forces have been grappling with rising incidences of soldier suicides and fratricides. According to Indian defence ministry, 125 soldiers are either committing suicides or killing themselves on an average every year.
