The much-awaited trailer of forthcoming Tamil movie "Ko 2" was released Monday evening, April 4. The video of political thriller starring Bobby Simha has garnered good reviews from the netizens.

The trailer has a lot of powerful one-liners and it takes potshots at the political class. It also depicts the present scenario in Tamil Nadu's political realm and has mention of last year's Chennai floods.

The video is loaded with action sequences and Prakash Raj, who appears to be a kingmaker, has a strong screen presence in it. A series of characters make blink-and-miss appearances in the trailer.

The outline of the story has been revealed in the trailer and what happens when a chief minister gets kidnapped is the crux of the story. Bobby Simha shines in the video and Nikki Galrani, who plays the role of a journalist, has a limited space. The biggest highlight of the video is the background score by Leon James. Last but not the least, Kevin has done good editing.

The audience have been impressed by the trailer. However, some feel that it has some similarities with Telugu movie "Prathinidhi."

The upcoming Tamil film is written and directed by Sarath. Bala Saravanan, Ilavarasu, John Vijay, Karunakaran, Bharath Reddy, Mayilsamy and others are in the cast.

It is a sequel to 2011 hit film "Ko." The first instalment was directed by KV Anand. Jiiva, Ajmal Ameer, Karthika Nair, Piaa Bajpai and Prakash Raj had played key roles in the flick, which was produced by Elred Kumar and Jayaraman.

"Ko 2" will release in May and it is interesting to note that the state will go for assembly elections next month, making it a perfect time for the release of political thriller.
