Canadian smartphone maker BlackBerry, formerly known by the name RIM (Research in Motion), is making all efforts to make sure the company's newest flagship Z10 smartphone hit Indian stores without any further delay.

A reliable source known to the website FoneArena has revealed that the new BlackBerry Z10 is expected to hit stores at least by Feb 25 with an estimated price tag of around ₹39,000.

Declining to comment on the speculation, Indian BlackBerry spokesperson said, "We would wish to get the product in India and any other key market as soon as possible but there are a certain timelines that have to followed to get any new product in the market," reported NDTV.

BlackBerry Z10 was unveiled only a few days ago on Jan 30 in New York. The company is much very keen to release its latest flagship smartphone in Asia's two biggest BlackBerry markets - Indonesia and India - as soon as possible.

Even developed nations like America and others were overlooked by the smartphone company to launch the BlackBerry Z10 in favour of emerging markets of India and Indonesia. US consumers have no choice but to wait until mid-March to get their hands on the new touch-screen BB Z10.

According to market intelligence firm ABI Research, BlackBerry accounted close to 50 percent of the total smartphone shipments in Indonesia. In India, the company is ranked third behind Samsung and Nokia, respectively, reported Reuters.

Lately, BlackBerry's market shares are getting diluted with the rise of competitively priced Android smartphones. With BlackBerry Z10 expected to be priced around Rs 39,000, it remains to be seen how the price sensitive Indian market will receive the smartphone.
