The final list of nominees for the Billboard Music Awards was announced Monday. From what it looks like, this year's award ceremony will be dominated by some of the biggest names in the music industry.
Canadian pop singer Abęl Makkonen Tesfaye aka The Weeknd will be one of the major highlights of the event. He has received as many as 19 nominations in 16 categories, which is the most for an artiste this year. Justin Bieber has 12 nominations in 11 categories, Drake and Fetty Wap both have 11 nominations in 10 categories and they are followed by Taylor Swift and Adele with eight nominations each.
The award ceremony will take place May 22, 2016, in Las Vegas and will be hosted by American rapper Ludacris and singer Ciara.
The Billboard Music Awards' list of nominees in most categories is quite similar to that of iHeartRadio Music Awards, which concluded last month.
