Former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav reportedly fell off a stage after it collapsed during a meeting with RJD leaders in Arwal on Tuesday.

According to CNN-IBN, the RJD chief was holding a public meeting with the members of Rashtriya Janata Dal in Bihar, when the stage collapsed.

Yadav and some other RJD leaders reportedly fell off the stage in the mishap. However, nobody was reported injured in the incident.

Arwal goes to polls in the second phase of Bihar Assembly elections on 16 October.

Yadav's party, which is a part of the Grand Alliance with Nitish Kumar's JDU and the Congress, is facing stiff competition from the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself campaigning across the state.

The two leaders -- Yadav and Modi -- have also been engaged in a war of words during the election campaign, attacking each other on various issues.
