Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn's delayed arrival at a BJP rally in Bihar Sharif on Tuesday triggered violence, which left 12 people, including some policemen, injured.

According to The Times of India, Ajay Devgn was supposed to address a public gathering for BJP candidate Sunil Kumar. The crowd lost its patience when there was no sign of the actor, who was supposed to reach the venue at 10.30 am, till 1 pm.

The angry mob pelted stones at policemen and broke chairs. The police in turn retaliated with lathicharge and as many as 12 people, including some policemen, were injured in the clash.

Nevertheless, Ajay Devgn arrived at around 1 pm in a helicopter. However, instead of landing, he just waved at the crowd.

Ajay Devgn had a worse experience at Lakhisarai, Bihar, in the past. The actor was supposed to address a similar rally in the area for BJP, when a shoe was reportedly thrown at Ajay Devgn's cavalcade. The actor then left the place in his chopper without addressing the gathering.

Bihar Sharif houses the administrative headquarters of Nalanda district, and BJP has put Sunil Kumar to fight from the area. Sunil Kumar is a former member of the JD(U).
