Salman Khan will return as the host of the ninth season of viewers' favourite reality show "Bigg Boss", but that might have burned a hole in the pocket of the makers.

Apparently, Salman has charged double the amount compared to the last season of "Bigg Boss".

According to a BollywoodLife.com report, Salman agreed to come on board this season only because the makers agreed to pay him double the amount.

The "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" actor has hosted the show for five years now and became viewers' favourite with his funny and adorable antics. But the actor made an exit from the show last year after hosting it for three months.

Director Farah Khan replaced him as host for the last one month, but could not garner the same TRP as Salman did. The TRP of the show went for a toss and thus makers were hell bent in getting Salman as the host of "Bigg Boss 9", reports BollywoodLife.com.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Colors channel Raj Naya shared the first promo of "Bigg Boss 9" recently, which promises to be double-trouble for the contestants. And the makers will soon reveal the second promo of the show.

"No, don't jump to conclusions. There're almost eight other promos planned. So you will get to see more of what's in store," a source told DNA.

"Bigg Boss 9" will start in October and will feature celebrities as contestants. More than 13 celebrities will participate in the show and will remain locked in the "Bigg Boss" house for three months.
