Ranveer Singh wants to make Salman Khan proud

After Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon promoting "Dilwale" on "Bigg Boss 9", there were reports of Shah Rukh Khan to appear on Salman Khan's show on 5 December.

However, SRK didn't come to the show, and instead Ranveer Singh appeared on Saturday. Ranveer came on "Bigg Boss 9" to promote his upcoming film "Bajirao Mastani".

Though the film also features Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, only Ranveer arrived on the show. It seems Deepika appeared earlier to promote "Tamasha", thus she chose not to visit again. And Priyanka, on the other hand, is in Montreal for the shoot of her American TV series "Quantico".

According to earlier reports, the promotion of "Bajirao Mastani" was about to happen on 13 December, and SRK was supposed to arrive at his friend Salman's show on 5 December. The audience was eagerly waiting to see two the Khans on stage.

Does this mean SRK will come the next weekend or is he not visiting his foe-turned-friend's show at all?

"Bajirao Mastani" is a period drama, and the makers of the film released the trailer last month. It has garnered immense appreciation from all quarters.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ambitious project, which will release on 18 December, is based on the love story of warrior Peshwa Bajirao and his second wife Mastani.

On the other hand, the Bhansali directorial is clashing with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol-starrer "Dilwale", as both are releasing on the same day.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, "Dilwale" is bringing back the evergreen SRK-Kajol jodi on screen after a gap of five years, along with the fresh pair of Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.
