"Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat" will soon take a leap, after which Siddharth Nigam, who plays young Ashoka, will bid adieu to the show.

While several actors were considered for the role of grown-up Ashoka, India Forums reports that the makers have zeroed in on Rishabh Sinha, the first runner-up of "Bigg Boss 9," to play the lead role.

"Siddharth Shukla who recently wrapped up his shoot with reality stunt based show Khatron Ke Khiladi... Kabhi Keeda Kabhi Peeda was approached to play the lead but now the makers have zeroed down on Rishab," a source told the entertainment portal.

However, Rishabh chose not to comment on the same. "I can't confirm anything as there are many projects lined up," he said when asked about the show.

Rishabh, who entered "Bigg Boss 9" as the first wild card contestant, soon became one of the most entertaining contestants on the show. The "Qubool Hai" actor's witty and kind-hearted nature garnered him a massive fan following.

In other news, Rishabh's "Bigg Boss 9" co-contestant Yuvika Choudhary has apparently bagged the female lead role opposite Ssharad Malhotra in Ekta Kapoor's new show "Kasam." Although the deal between Yuvika and the makers is yet to be sealed, the actress is likely to join the team and will be seen romancing Ssharad in the daily soap.
