"Bigg Boss 8" contestant Soni Singh, who rose to fame with her stints on the most controversial reality show, was allegedly assaulted in public by her former boyfriend.
If reports are to be believed, on Monday night (6 July), Soni, accompanied by her friends, was in Versova, when she was attacked and dragged inside a car by her ex-boyfriend.
"Soni was dragged by this man inside a car. Sounds of slaps and hits could be heard with Soni being at the receiving end. Even when her friends tried to intervene, Soni was heard requesting them to not interfere in their personal matter," an eye witness told Telly Chakkar.
However, soon police arrived at the spot and the actress, former boyfriend and her friends were taken to the Versova police station. Apparently, a complaint has been registered at the police station regarding the assault.
When Soni was contacted, she chose not to comment and keep the matter private. "This is a personal matter and I don't want it to be publicised." she said.
Soni has been a part of several TV shows including "Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan", "Laagi Tujhse Lagan" and "Saraswatichandra".
