Television actress Shubhangi Atre Poorey, who has been in the news for replacing Shilpa Shinde as Angoori Bhabhi on &TV's "Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!," finally entered the show on April 25.

Talking about playing the popular character Angoori, Shubhangi told the Times of India that it was quite challenging for her to fit into the character, but hopes that the show's viewers would continue showering their love upon her as they did when Shilpa essayed the role. The actress, who was nervous at the shoot, also mentioned that the cast of the show helped her feel comfortable on the sets.

"I am extremely excited and equally nervous on being chosen to play such a beautiful character on television. The show - Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai has a cult following and playing the character of Angoori is quite challenging. My job is now to understand the director's vision and do complete justice to it. I hope the loyal fans of the show bestow the same love upon me as they have showered before. We have great bunch of talented actors with impeccable comic timing and I hope to re-create the same magic with them on screen," Shubhangi told the daily.

The actress, who had earlier replaced Shilpa in comedy show "Chidiya Ghar," considered it to be unintentional and a mere coincident that she was stepping into the shoes of Shilpa yet again. "It's completely unintentional. As an actor, I look for good opportunities. I was aware about the ongoing tussle between Shilpa and Binaifer Kohli (TV producer) but it doesn't concern me in any way. I have heard only good things about Benaifer. So I wasn't apprehensive taking up the role. Besides, I have been a huge fan of the show. The character of Angoori is very promising. I'm so glad I am doing it (sic)," Shubhangi told Asian Age.

Meanwhile, the ongoing tussle between Shilpa and "Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!" producer Binaifer Kohli has escalated to a new level. After the actress was banned from working in any show by the Cine And Tv Artistes Association (CINTAA), she approached Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena-affiliated Chitrapat Karmachari Sena to help her in the matter. According to an Asian Age report, Shilpa met some members of the political party last week, wherein the latter agreed to sort out the matter and help the actress get justice.

Meanwhile, Shubhangi's entry received mixed response from the viewers of the show. Here are some of the Twitter reactions of the viewers:
