Bungie, the developer of upcoming open-world FPS video game, Destiny might offer beta access to players who pre-order the game.

This was discovered by a Reddit user on the game's official website when he stumbled upon a dead link in its beta section.

"Pre-order Destiny at select retailers and receive admission to the Destiny Beta. Play it first. Become Legend," the link read, according to CVG

When asked about the preorder bonuses for Destiny in Mail Sack the studio said, "There most certainly will be. We'll tell you all about them before you even have the chance to ask again."

"You may want to turn your gaze to the stars. We've been busy. Stay tuned," it added.

Destiny is an always-online game that will include various elements of MMOs. It has been 700 years since apocalypse and a Golden Age of exploration, peace and technological advancement has followed. Humans have spread out and have colonized various planets in the Solar System. But the mysterious event of Collapse has left mankind on the verge of extinction. It is because of the presence of The Traveler, a celestial body that allowed men to survive on earth. These men are protected by the Guardians of the City who are the defenders of the human race.

The game will be revolving around the journey of the Guardians divided into different races: Humans, Awoken and Exo. There are also different classes of humans like Hunters, Warlocks and Titans.

Destiny is Bungie's first game after the company separated from Microsoft. The game is still in development and it is expected to be released in 2014 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
