Global technology giants released several devices in the past one month in India but most of them belong to mid-budget and high-end categories. Lenovo Vibe K5 is the only notable addition to the budget category, which means Indian prospective buyers have to buy the latest device or choose from those released more than a month ago if their budget is within Rs. 10,000.

Here are specifications, pricing and other details of best under-Rs. 10,000 smartphones Indian consumers can buy in July (not in particular order):

Lenovo Vibe K5

Priced at Rs. 6,999, the smartphone has a 5.0-inch HD display with 1,280x720 pixels (294 ppi pixel density), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor clocking at 1.4GHz, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. It also comes with features like a 16GB internal memory (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card), 2GB RAM, 13MP main camera with LED flash and autofocus, 5MP front-snapper with fixed focus, and a 2,750mAh battery.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (16GB)

The device has been in the market for a few months now but it is still one of the most demanded devices. Priced at Rs. 9,999 for the 16GB variant, the device features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1,080x1,920 pixels (403 ppi pixel density), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, 3GB RAM, 16MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5MP secondary camera with f/2.0, and a 4,000mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016)

The South Korean electronics giant released the device after the success of the Galaxy J3 2015 version. The device comes with a price tag of Rs. 8,990 and sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 720x1,280 pixels (294 ppi pixel density). Under the hood, it has a Spreadtrum SC8830 processor, Android 5.1 Lollipop, 8GB/16GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), 8MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, autofocus and LED flash, 5MP front-snapper, and a 2,600mAh battery.

Lenovo K4 Note

Released earlier this year, Lenovo K4 Note is one of the most popular budget smartphones. It is priced at Rs. 9,999 and sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a 1,080x1920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density). Under the hood, it has a Mediatek MT6752 processor clocking at 1.3 GHz, Android 5.1 Lollipop with Vibe UI 3.0 (upgradable to Android Marshmallow), 16GB internal memory (expandable up to 128GB), and a 3GB RAM. It also mounts a 13MP main camera with f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash, a 5MP front-snapper with f/2.2 aperture, and a 3,000mAh battery.

Meizu M3 Note

The device was released in April at Rs. 9,999. It sports a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1,080x1,920 pixels (403 ppi pixel density), powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 processor, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop based FlymeOS operating system, and comes packed with a 16/32GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), and 2/3GB RAM. It has a 13MP main camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and dual tone LED flash, a 5MP front-snapper with f/2.0 aperture, and a 4,100mAh battery.

Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus

The device was released in April and comes with a price tag of Rs. 8,499. It sports a 5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen with 1,080x1,920 pixels (441 ppi pixel density), powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. It also features a 16GB internal memory (expandable up to 32GB), 2GB RAM, 13MP main camera with autofocus and LED flash, 5MP front-snapper, and a 2,750mAh battery.

Asus Zenfone Max

The device was released earlier this year months after it was announced. It comes with a price tag of Rs. 9,999 for the 2GB RAM model, sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with 720x1,280 pixels (267 ppi pixel density), powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based ZenUI. It has a 32GB internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD card), 13MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash, 5MP front-snapper with f/2.0 aperture, and a 5,000mAh battery.
