Bentley Motors will drive in its first ever SUV Bentayga to India on Friday, April 22. The Bentayga SUV, which was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2015, is open for bookings in the country.
According to the company, the Bentayga is the most powerful and fastest SUV in the world. In India, the SUV is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 4-6 crore. It was being reported that the company has allotted only 20 units of the Bentayga SUV for the Indian market and all of them have been already booked before the actual launch.
Coming to the specifications of the Bentayga, the SUV will draw power from an all-new twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12 engine that can pump in 600bhp of power and a mammoth 900Nm of torque mated to eight-speed transmission. The SUV sprints 0-100kmph in 4.1 seconds before attaining a top speed of 301kmph.
In terms of dimensions, Bentley Bentayga measures 5,141mm in length, 2,223mm in width and 1,742mm in height, and comes with a wheelbase of 2,992mm. The SUV is based on the VW Group's new MLB-Evo platform 22-way front seats with adjustable bolsters, massage, ventilation, electric seatbelt adjustment and comfort headrests, Bentley rear entertainment, split-folding heated rear 4+1 seats and a panoramic tilt/slide sunroof.
