The National Investigation Agency has arrested Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Asadullah Khan from Mumbai airport.

The LeT operative's arrest by the NIA Hyderabad team was in connection with a criminal conspiracy to kill some of the VIPs in Bengaluru, reported ANI.

The targets included prominent citizens, including politicians and police officials.

Asadullah aka Abu Sufiyan, who is a resident of Hyderabad, was reportedly deported from Saudi Arabia.

Earlier in 2013, the NIA had named Asadullah as one of the seven Indian LeT operatives who held meetings in Riyadh and Dammam to plot attacks in Bengaluru and other Indian cities.
