No catwalk and no high heels as they entered the swimming pool but many might have mistaken the beautiful female swimmers at the London Olympics 2012 for models. Their swagger, figure, fashion sense and looks grabbed the attention of the spectators.

Many glamorous and beautiful swimmers from across the world were seen in action at the London Olympics 2012. Some won medals, some didn't, but they surely made their presence felt.

Here are some beautiful swimmers with talent:

Missy Franklin: She is an American swimmer, a two-time Olympic gold medalist. She has won three medals in the ongoing London Olympics - gold in 100-meter backstroke, gold in 4x200-meter freestyle relay and bronze in 4x100-meter freestyle relay.

Zsuzsanna Jakabos: Hungarian swimmer Zsuzsanna Jakabos has represented her country thrice so far - in 2004, 2008 and London Olympics 2012. Besides being a good swimmer, she is a beauty with great body.

Liu Zige: She is a swimmer from China. She won gold in women's 200 m butterfly at the Beijing Olympics 2008, breaking Jessicah Schipper's world record.

Allison Schmitt: American swimmer Allison Schmitt won gold in women's 200m freestyle, setting an Olympic record. She is one of the most charming girls in the London 2012 Olympics.

Federica Pellegrini: She is an Italian swimmer, the first female from the country to win gold medal in Olympics. She holds world record in the women's 200 m freestyle and 400 m freestyle.

Alicia Coutts: Australia's Alicia Coutts has a gorgeous smile. She won bronze in the 100m butterfly and is part of the 4x100m freestyle relay team that a new Olympic Record at the London Olympics.

Ruta Meilutyte: She is a Lithuanian swimmer. She won the gold medal in the women's 100 metre breaststroke at the London Olympics 2012.

Ye Shiwen: Chinese swimmer Ye Shiwen stole the limelight at the London Olympics 2012 by setting world record in 400 metres individual medley. She also won gold medal in women's 200m individual medley.

Coralie Balmy: She is a freestyle swimmer from France. She set world record for the 200 m Free (SC) at the French National Championships. She is participating in London Olympics 2012.

Bronte Barratt: Australian swimmer Bronte Barratt was part of the Women's 4 x 200m Freestyle Relay team that won gold at the Beijing Olympics. She won a bronze medal in the 200m freestyle at the 2012 London Olympics.

Caitlin Mcclatchey: She is a Scottish swimmer and has won two gold medals at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. She presented Britain in the London Olympics 2012.

Stephanie Rice: Australia's swimmer Stephanie Rice was in the news at the Beijing Olympics 2008 not only for performance but also for her looks. She won three gold medals at the Beijing Olympics.
