Apple-owned audio brand Beats has launched its new flagship over-ear headphones, the Beats 360, in India at Rs 42,900. The headphones bring a new interchangeable cushion system, along with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), personalised spatial audio and up to 32 hours of battery life.

Beats 360 features interchangeable cushions

The biggest highlight of the Beats 360 is its interchangeable ear and headband cushions. Users can replace both cushions to change the look, material and feel of the headphones.

The headphones come with Performance Knit cushions, while separate cushion kits are also available in different colours and materials. Performance Knit cushions use memory foam wrapped in breathable fabric, while UltraPlush cushions use engineered leather.

The additional cushion kits are priced at Rs 6,900. Performance Knit options are available in Black, Cloud, Pink, Sky, Navy and Volt, while UltraPlush is offered in Black and Cloud.

ANC and spatial audio

The Beats 360 feature Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode and Adaptive EQ. They also support personalised spatial audio with dynamic head tracking and Dolby Atmos.

Beats says the headphones use a new acoustic architecture with custom-designed drivers featuring three-layer diaphragms and dual neodymium magnets. The company also claims that the ANC system provides up to 1.75 times more combined active and passive noise cancellation than the Beats Studio Pro.

The headphones feature nine digital MEMS microphones for noise cancellation and voice pickup, along with a beam-forming system designed to improve call clarity.

32-hour battery life

The Beats 360 offer up to 32 hours of playback, including with ANC and personalised spatial audio enabled. A five-minute USB-C charge can provide up to one hour of listening time. The headphones support Bluetooth 5.3 and work with both Apple and Android devices.

Apple users get features including one-touch pairing, automatic device switching, Audio Sharing, Find My and hands-free Siri. Android users get Fast Pair, Audio Switch and Find Hub support.

Price and availability in India

The Beats 360 is priced at Rs 42,900 in India and comes in Black, Cloud, Pink and Sky colour options, with matching Performance Knit cushions included.

The headphones are available to order online, while retail availability begins September 24. The Beats 360 is also the brand's first over-ear headphone with an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance, making it designed for workouts as well as everyday use, travel and commuting.

With interchangeable cushions, ANC, spatial audio, sweat resistance and cross-platform connectivity, the Beats 360 adds a more customisable approach to Beats' premium over-ear headphone lineup.
