It's Valentine's Day today, and what better gift from Salman Khan to his fans? Bhaijaan of Bollywood dropped the new romantic track Main Hoon from his upcoming film Battle of Galwan. The soothing love ballad is indeed an ode to couples and a perfect V-Day playlist.
More than the song's lyrics, it's Salman Khan and Chitrangda Singh's all-new on-screen pairing that has left the internet gushing.
In the song, or say in the film, Salman and Chitrangda play a married couple who have been together for 11 years and are parents to two sons. The story shows a soldier posted at the border, missing his wife and children while serving the country. Their love feels real, quiet, strong, and full of sacrifice.

The visuals show the pain of long distance and separation from loved ones. Salman Khan is seen sharing tender and heartfelt scenes with his family, celebrating simple yet meaningful moments. In contrast, other frames reflect distance and longing. Chitrangda Singh delivers a graceful performance, portraying quiet strength and emotional resilience. Their chemistry appears mature and natural, adding depth to the song's emotional tone.

However, many netizens felt that Salman is too old to romance on-screen, and at some places, the chemistry seems off and forced.
The music is composed and sung by Ayaan Lall, while Shreya Ghoshal lends her soulful voice as playback for Chitrangda's character. The melody blends romance with a sense of emotional weight; however, Salman's expressions were called out by some fans.
Take a look at what social media has to say.
A user wrote, "Seriously why is he doing this He needs better ppl around to get him out of whatever he has gone in He says he wishes to work till d end of his life but clearly his heart ain't in it anymore Even BB he does with disinterest.."
Another wrote, "Please retire hoke apni legacy bachao." ( Please retire and save your legacy).

Announcing the release on social media, the makers wrote, "This Valentine's, let love take over with #MainHoon. Song out now."
Produced by Salman Khan Films and directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Battle of Galwan also stars Chitrangda Singh in a pivotal role. The teaser for the film was previously launched on Salman Khan's 60th birthday, December 27, 2025, which the team described as a deliberate decision. "It is not just another release date, but a way to honour Salman Khan's long career in films," an official statement said.
