"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's" much awaited release is almost a month away. And, as the D-day draws closer, the plot rumours revolving around this DC film is going wild. If we go by the latest buzz, then it looks like Batman and Lex Luthor's secret weapon against Superman has been revealed. Interestingly, it's not just the Kryptonite.

Well, we have heard about the Batmobile, General Zod, Doomsday, Kryptonite and more, but all these will seem like a passé if the latest plot rumours about Scoot McNairy's role and Alfred's involvement in the upcoming flick turn out to be true.

According to MoviePilot, Batman's father figure and advisor Alfred will prove to be his secret weapon against Superman in "Dawn of Justice". While pointing out Alfred's role from Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" trilogy, the website said that Jeremy Irons' portrayal of the character is going to be fresh and even more significant.

"I knew we would be finding a different angle on Alfred, so I thought of him as my own. Alfred has lived longer than Bruce, and so perhaps has a clearer perspective on life. As well as having been in loco parentis to Bruce, his only remit in life is to protect him. And, as those of us who have raised children, let alone Batmen, will know that is quite a wide remit," the website quoted the actor as saying.

Going by this quote, the website assumes that it's not Alfred's physical strength, but it's his background and experience that will prove to become Batman's powerful weapon in his fight against Superman.

But Lex Luthor, on the other hand has other evil plans, reported Latino Review. Ever since it has been revealed that Scoot McNairy will join the cast of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice", there has been a huge buzz about the character he would be playing. While many media outlets speculated that he might actually be The Flash, but this new report has another interesting speculation.

Sources have apparently revealed to the website that McNairy's wheel-chair-bound character will be brought in to testify against Superman to the US Senate and will fall prey to Lex's evil plans against Superman. The report further stated that Luthor will turn McNairy's character into a human bomb in an attempt to hurt Superman.

Now, whether this secret weapon theory is actually true or not, we will know when "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits theatres on 25 March, 2016.
