Upcoming video game title Batman: Arkham Knight, from developer Rocksteady Studios and publisher Warner Bros IE, gets its latest gameplay trailer titled "Evening the Odds".

The two-minute trailer starts with a warning from Scarecrow for Gotham citizens to leave the city or face dire consequences. Scarecrow's return is a "master plan" that will lead to the unification of Rogues Gallery and with the objective of Batman's complete decimation.

Chaos in the streets of Gotham is imminent as citizens run away from the city, leaving it open for the criminal gangs to assume control. It's hero Batman known what odds he is facing but does not mind it.

The city has been overrun by Batman's enemies and he has to summon his best - Batmobile. The video shows some of the features of the vehicle that has been promised to be playable in this iteration.

The vehicle features rocket launchers that can bring down potential targets, powerful boosters, powerful bulletproof armor, new led lights, ability to go in canals (both sideways and upside down), ability to jump, perform burnouts, crash into cars, and finally eject from the seat and open the cape to glide through and land at the most difficult place with ease.

The trailer in itself is a mixture of cutscenes and gameplay, showcasing some of the mechanics that will be part of the upcoming game. It also gives us closeup shots of the new Batman suit. The video also gives us a glimpse of its visual performance for next-generation consoles.

Some of the important things that can be learnt from the trailer are the confirmation of Oracle (Barbara Gordan) and the usage of Bat-Signal to summon Arkham Knight.

The voiceover for Batman is provided by Kevin Conroy, who voiced the Dark Knight in Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. The soundtrack of the game is by composers David Buckley and Nick Arundel.

Sefton Hill, the game's director, had previously said that though Batman will be powerful, so will be his enemies. He also said that the studio has tried to make a balance between Batman's powers and his vulnerability.

Some of the villains who are rumored to be in Arkham Knight are Killer Moth, Bane, Zsasz, Deadshot, Penguin, Two-Face and Scarecrow. Penguin, Two-Face and Scarecrow can be seen in the trailer.

Though the game is largely expected to be in stores only on 14 October, the closing scene ran the words "coming soon". The game will be released for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will be a single player game. Pre-ordered game will have a bonus, where players can play as Harley Quinn.
