Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri-starrer Banjo has made a slow start at the box office and its collection did not witness much growth over the weekend.

After earning Rs 1.72 crore on its opening day at the Indian box office, Banjo collected Rs 1.95 crore on Saturday, witnessing a growth of just 13.37 percent. "#Banjo shows minimal growth [13.37 %] on Sat... Fri 1.72 cr, Sat 1.95 cr. Total: 3.67 cr. India biz," tweeted Taran Adarsh.

Banjo failed to put much impact on Sunday as well, collecting Rs 2.25 crore nett on its 3rd day at the domestic market. "#Banjo is DULL...Fri 1.72 cr, Sat 1.95 cr, Sun 2.25 cr. Total: 5.92 cr. India biz," tweeted the trade analyst.

Directed by Ravi Jadhav, the film had received mixed response from the critics but looks like Pink has been affecting its collection.

Amitabh Bachchan's Pink was released a week before Banjo but the former has been dominating the box office figures even on its 2nd week. Another movie had released along with Banjo titled Parched.

Starring Radhika Apte and Surveen Chawla, among others, Parched is a much critically acclaimed film, but has very less impact at the box office with its limited screens release. The film could not collect even Rs 50 lakh in 2 days but witnessed a decent increase in its collection on the second day.

"#Parched Fri 12 lacs, Sat 22 lacs. Total: 34 lacs [limited release]. India biz... Biz grew by 83.33 % on Sat," the trade analyst tweeted. The film collected Rs 28 lakh on Sunday, taking its 3-day collection to Rs 62 lakh.
