After countless leaks and spy shots of Bajaj's much-awaited Pulsar 200SS surfaced, the Pune-based bike manufacturer finally confirmed the model in India by April, this year.

Bike enthusiasts in the country have been waiting for the fully faired version of Pulsar 200NS for quite a while now. Now, a new report by ZigWheels revealed that the wait for Pulsar 200SS will finally end in March or early April. And to tickle the fancy of Pulsar lovers, the folks at Rushlane have managed to get a new set of spy shots of Pulsar 200SS in its completely undisguised avatar from a dealership in Kolkata.

Rumours mills have, by now, disclosed everything about Bajaj's upcoming offering and what is really left to see is it's pricing in the domestic market.

Now this bit is for the uninitiated Pulsar 200SS, a much-awaited and desired bike from the house of Bajaj which is the fully-faired version of 200NS. The model, which is expected to reach Indian shores with stylish and performance package, is likely to draw power from the same 199.5 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, triple-spark engine as its sibling.

The current engine of 200NS has the capacity to churn out 23.52PS of power at 9,500rpm and 18.3Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. From what we have seen so far, Pulsar 200SS will be offered with fuel injection technology and ABS. It is being speculated that teh bike will get the stopping power from 280mm and 230mm disc brakes and the engine is likely to come coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.

Pulsar 200SS will accommodate dual projector headlamps, LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and a differently-shaped tail lamp, and is likely to come donned in yellow, black, blue and red colours. Although there have been reports that the dealerships of Bajaj have started receiving the bikes, the bookings are yet to begin. The emerging reports suggest that the company will start accepting bookings for Pulsar 200SS immediately after the launch.

In India, Pulsar 200SS will be pitted against Hero Karizma R, Yamaha YZF-R15 and KTM RC200 and if rumours are to be believed, the latest Pulsar will get a price tag of around ₹1.5 lakh.
