It was recently reported that along with Bajaj's soon-to-be-launched Pulsar RS 200, the company's new Adventure Sports bike Pulsar 200 AS has also hit the assembly line, indicating the imminent launch. Now it appears like the launch of this model has also been confirmed.

A recent report of MotorBeam claimed that Pune-based bike manufacturer Bajaj will bring its new Pulsar 200 AS to the Indian market by June this year. Pulsar 200AS, a semi-faired version of 200 NS will sit between the Pulsar 200 NS and the new RS 200 and is likely to be priced at sub ₹1 lakh brackets.

As reported earlier, Bajaj has started the production of this new Pulsar at the company's Chakan plant. Pulsar 200AS, a possible replacement of ageing Pulsar 220F is likely to pack the same 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine of 200 NS, which is tuned to churn out 23bhp of power and 18.3Nm of peak torque, coupled to six-speed transmission. As for styling, the new Pulsar 200AS is likely to remain identical to its Pulsar 200NS sibling and is speculated get new MRF NyloGrip Zapper tyres and big windscreen.

Bajaj's 2015 line-up for India will also include a lower capacity Pulsar 150 AS and its much-awaited Pulsar CS400 apart from Pulsar RS 200.The Pulsar RS 200 will see the launch in next couple of days in the country and other two are expected later in the year.

While Pulsar 150 AS is likely to get power from 149.5cc single cylinder air-cooled engine, the CS400 will be powered by 375cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve triple spark engine and comes mated to a six-speed transmission with fuel injection.
