Celebrities are used to being the center of attention and being the talk of the town. However, sometimes their purchases also make it to the headlines. A very similar thing happened to singer/rapper Badshah in 2025, when one of his purchases went viral and was being talked about everywhere. He was in the news for being the first Indian-born musician to own a Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II. This car in India is owned by Mukesh Ambani, Shah Rukh Khan, and Ajay Devgn, but Badshah became the first singer to purchase it for himself. Recently, he opened up about what it felt like after making such a hefty purchase.
While in a conversation with Curly Tales, the rapper admitted that buying the car was a spur-of-the-moment decision. In fact, he also revealed that the happiness or the joy of having bought something so expensive in his case was rather short-lived.
He said, "I think buying the car was very impulsive. Jaldi se decide kar liya ki aaj lena hai (I quickly decided to take it today)," and mentioned that the excitement of buying the car faded almost instantly. "Badshah wali feeling hai. It's a good car. 10–15 minute raha tha uska high, and then you're like, what next (It was a Badshah/King-like feeling. It's a good car. I felt the high for 10-15 minutes and then you're like, what next)?"

Badshah openly confessed that he has always had the mindset to try out the best of things, experience the best luxury and technology that is available. He added that he ends up wanting whatever is being called the best technology. Whatever becomes popular, Badshah feels like experiencing it himself.
When the rapper was questioned about saving luxury items during the time of a crisis, the rapper, without any hesitation, admitted, "I would save the car. I will have to live in the car then."
However, he made sure to clarify that even to this day, he makes sure to check out price tags first and sincerely hopes it never comes to a point where he does not care to check them anymore.
Aside from his candid take on the luxury purchase, Badshah has stayed firmly in the spotlight with a string of creative projects and musical releases over the past year. He has also been judging the latest season of Indian Idol alongside Shreya Ghoshal and Vishal Dadlani.
