"Bachelor in Paradise" season 2 contestant Joe Bailey has earned the title of one of the least favourite contestants to have appeared on the show, thanks to his decision to ditch Juelia Kinney as soon as Samantha Steffen arrived.

As viewers of the show already know, Bailey had earlier revealed that he was just stringing along Kinney for a rose till Steffen arrived on "Bachelor in Paradise." And Sunday's episode saw Steffen arriving, and immediately asking Bailey to go on a date with her. The two were then shown getting hot and heavy while poor Kinney remained ignored.

Later, Bailey admitted that he came on the show just to get a chance to date Steffen, and that the two were in touch before "Bachelor in Paradise" season 2 started.

Fans of the Bachelor Nation would recall that this was similar to what happened with Nick Viall and Kaitlyn Bristowe. Viall, who was a contestant on Andi Dorfman's season of "The Bachelorette", was enamoured by Bristowe during her stint on Chris Soules' season of "The Bachelor", and he soon got in touch with her to get to know her better.

However, Bristowe was soon declared the star of season 11 of "The Bachelorette", and Viall decided to go on the show to be with her. Sadly, things did not end well for Viall and Bristowe, who is currently engaged to Shawn Booth.

In the meantime, it remains to be seen what's in store for Bailey and Steffen, and according to host Chris Harrison, things are going to get interesting as the season moves forward.

Calling Bailey a deceptive contestant, Harrison said the contestant is not as humble as he initially portrayed himself to be.

"On [Kaitlyn Bristowe]'s season, Joe was one of the most likable guys. Everyone thought he was humble, hilarious, and warm, but from the moment he walked into Paradise, something was off. None of us could figure out exactly what was going on, but we all just chalked it up to nerves," Harrison wrote in his Yahoo! blog.

"But things quickly took a turn and it's starting to become clear that Joe may have had a plan coming into this that no one knew about. First, we saw him say very different things in front of Juelia and behind her back, and then we saw Joe go after Mikey and Jonathan -- to a point where he made Jonathan cry."
