'Baar Baar Dekho' actress Katrina Kaif reveals why she wasn't comfortable shooting 'Kala Chashma' song

Looking at Katrina Kaif move effortlessly to the beats of "Kala Chashma," it's difficult to believe that she had a problem shooting for the song.

No, it wasn't the costume, or her "Baar Baar Dekho co-star Sidharth Malhotra or even the steps, it was the lyrics of "Kala Chashma," one particular line to be precise — "Tu munda bilkul desi hai, main Katrina toh soni ve."

Talking to the Asian Age, Katrina admitted that she rehearsed "Kala Chashma" without lip-syncing, and when she finally realised that a part of the song was about her, she requested the makers to change the wordings. But, since all were strapped for time, Katrina decided to go for it.

"This one particular line, the lyrics were very fast. So fast that I was asking which beat came on which word. And then I actually paid attention. That made no sense even logically (the lyrics) and secondly, I was not comfortable with it. But then we decided there was no time to call up Badshah (the composer) and change it, so we decided to just forget it since no one was going to notice it. But still, it's really, really weird," she elaborated.

Interestingly, Katrina's discomfort didn't show in the video. She was seen flaunting her best moves in "Kala Chashma," which enjoys chartbuster status and has garnered close to 80 million views on YouTube.
