SS Rajamouli's period drama, "Baahubali – The Beginning" (Bahubali) is going strong at the overseas box office even after two weeks run at the theatres. It made huge business even in the third weekend, beating second weekend collections of Dhanush's "Maari" at overseas.

Three versions of "Baahubali" (Telugu, Tamil and Hindi) collected $557,447 in USA and $66,259 in Canada in the third weekend, according to Bollywood Hungama. The report went on to add that "Baahubali" (Telugu) earned £8,662 in UK, and its Tamil version collected A$43,348 in Australia and MYR172,317 in Malaysia.

Total overseas collections of the film after third weekend stand at ₹51.48 crore.

On the other hand, Balaji Mohan directed "Maari" starring Dhanush and Kajal Aggarwal earned ₹3.25 crore after the second weekend, which is much lower than "Baahubali."

However, it may be mentioned that there is lots of discrepancy in the screen count of "Baahubali" and "Maari" with the former getting over 250 theatres even in the third weekend while the latter was released in just over 50 theatres.

It is reported that "Baahubali", which features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, and Tamannaah in the lead roles, collected ₹391 crore in just two weeks from worldwide box office. It collected ₹50 crore on the first day in India, becoming the highest ever opening collection (all versions) in the country.

Made on a budget of ₹250-crore, shot in Telugu and Tamil, and dubbed in Hindi and Malayalam, the period drama was released in over 4,200 screens around the world on 10 July. It managed to do well both at the domestic and overseas box office despite the release new movies like "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", "Maari", "James Bond", "Demonte Colony", "Jilla" and "Sahasam Seyyara Dimbaka."
