Avika Gor, who rose to fame with the role of the adorable Anandi on "Balika Vadhu," recently sizzled on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival 2016. The actress attended the film festival along with actor Manish Raisinghan for the screening of their short film "Ankahee Baatein" in the Short Film Corner section. "Ankahee Baatein" stars Manish and Barkha Bisht, while Avika is the creative director of the film.

Thrilled with the response her short film has received at the film festival, Avika told Hindustan Times: "Our movie is based on a social cause. A few French producers have bought it [to distribute it in different parts of the country]. Cannes is a great place not only to network, but also to meet like-minded people. We watched many short films at the festival. Attending Cannes was quite an eye-opener."

"The festival area is so large. You can continue exploring it for days. We had a lot of fun interacting with people there. Our film's screening was at a five-star hotel, and had around 60 people in the audience, which was huge for us," the 18-year-old actress added.

Although Avika and Manish, who shared the screen space in "Sasural Simar Ka," had a great time interacting with talented people at the film festival, they had a tough time finding the food of their liking as both the actors are vegetarians. "It was tough to find vegetarian food. We found some pasta to eat one day, but we mainly survived on the theplas that I had carried with me," Avika said.

The actress has shared some pictures of her at the Cannes Film Festival on her social media page, where she looked gorgeous in a one-shoulder blue gown.
