The much-awaited audio album of Suriya's upcoming movie "24" will be out in the second week of April. The original plan was to launch the album March 28.

Sources close to the production house have told Indiaglitz the album will be released April 11, three days before the Tamil New Year. An official confirmation on the music launch will be out in the next few days.

The makers of "24" had initially planned to release its audio album in March. It was reported that both Tamil and Telugu versions of the songs would be launched in Hyderabad in a grand event. But the plans were change after the makers decided to delay the film's release to avoid clash with Ilayathalapathy Vijay's action thriller "Theri," which is being dubbed in Telugu as "Police Odu."

The album has generated lots of positive vibes after one of its singles ("Kaalam En Kadhali" in Tamil and "Kaalam Na Priyasi" in Telugu) went on to become a big hit among youths. It has been sung by Benny Dayal and written by Vairamuthu. Two-time Oscar Award winner AR Rahman has scored the music for the multilingual film.

Prior to the single release, a teaser of "24" was revealed and received well by the audience. With its dazzling visuals and Suriya's strong screen presence, the video managed to live up to the viewers' expectations.

"24" is likely to hit the screens either in the last week of April or the first week of May. Its post-production work is currently under way, and is reportedly in the final stages.

Vikram Kumar's "24" is a science-fiction movie about time travel. Samantha and Nithya Menen are the female leads in the flick. Suriya himself has produced the film under his home banner of 2D Entertainment.
