Asus Zenbook UX302 Touchscreen Based Laptop Launched in India; Price, Availability Details

Top Taiwanese PC maker Asus released a new high-end ultrabook, dubbed as Zenbook UX302, in India on Wednesday (26 March).

"We were the pioneers of bringing Ultrabooks in the market and our first model was introduced in 2011. Introducing the Zenbook UX302 is one of our elite ranges of products, will be further enhancing our Ultrabook Series and quality offerings to our customers," said Peter Chang, Regional Head - South Asia & Country Manager, ASUS India.

"Amazingly, it is just 15.5 mm thick - 14% thinner than the previous Zenbook. It is a first ever Ultrabook which comes with Nvidia GT 730M 2GB VRAM accelerating the performance with responsive multimedia and faster gaming. We (Asus) are affirmative that this device will content techies with fetish for excellence in the country. It is the Ultrabook you'll want with you, wherever you go," he added.

The new Asus ultrabook sports a scratch-resistant long lasting finish with crystalline glass and brushed metallic body, with 13.3-inch touch-screen having full HD (1920x1080p) display resolution and comes protected with Gorilla Glass 3 shield.

Under the hood, Asus Zenbook ships with Windows 8 Pro (64-bit), 4^th Generation Intel Core i5 4200 (configurable up to 2.3G, 3M) CPU backed by 2GB + 2GB DDR3 1600 RAM and 750 GB 5400 rpm + 16GB MSSD.

The new high-end Asus ultrabook comes with price tag of a whopping ₹99,999 and will be available across all ASUS Exclusive Stores and major multi brand retail outlets across India from April 2014.

Asus is also scheduled to launch three mid-range ZenFone series smartphones in China next month and many reports indicate that the company is more likely to release these devices in India as well.
