ASUS has officially launched PadFone Mini in India. Unlike regular smartphone devices, PadFone bundles a tablet screen with docking facilities.
ASUS PadFone Mini offers a WVGA 4-inch screen smartphone and a tablet dock with a 7-inch screen. The concept behind manufacturing this device is that the user can purchase a single device and get the luxury of using a regular screened smartphone and a tablet when required.
Powered by Intel Atom Z2650 Dual-Core processor with a maximum clock speed of 1.6GHz, the PadFone Mini has 8GB in-built memory. The PadFone Mini also boasts an external microSD card slot for 64GB.
The PadFone Mini also features an 8mp rear and a 2mp front camera. Running on Android 4.3 Jellybean Operating System, the PadFone Mini features two batteries. The smartphone-bundled battery is of 1,200mAh capacity, while the tablet dock features an in-built battery of 2,100 mAh, so when your smartphone runs out of battery just dock it on the tablet.
The ASUS PadFone Mini is available for sale on Flipkart at ₹15,999 with several colour options including white, red, blue and yellow.
