ASUS has sent us a mail with a teaser image and a slogan "Slim yet Curvy. Coming Soon!" The caption says they are about to release a new Eeebok laptop for the Indian market. IBNLive speculated this device could be the EeeBook X205 which the manufacturer debuted in the last International IFA 2014.
The Asus X205 is an ultraportable laptop with 11.6-inch screen with 1366x768 pixels of resolution. Powered by an Intel Atom T3735 Quad-Core CPU the X205 boasts 2GB worth RAM and available in tow internal storage variant- 32GB and 64GB. The internal storage space might sound less, but it is almost enough to store installed applications and the OS. For data storage the user might use the micro SD card slot inside, use any external storage device or be dependent of Cloud storage providers.
Weighing less than a kilo, the EeeBook X205 claims to be the lightest 11-inch laptop available till date. ASUS has featured a Li-ion 38Wh battery inside which claims to power up to 12 hrs of battery life.
The EeeBook X205 is expected to be released with a price tag under Rs. 20,000.
