Bad news for Nintendo Wii U owners as they will not get any more of Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty games for their console.

Ubisoft has stated that there will be no Assassin's Creed for Wii U in the future as there were only a very small number of Wii U players, who bought Assassin's Creed.

The company also clarified that it is not ending Assassin's Creed for Wii U due to the lesser sales but because there was no demand for the game from Wii U users.

"It's very simple... Nintendo customers don't buy Assassin's Creed. Last year, we sold in very small numbers," said Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, in an interview with GameInformer.

"What we see is that they are very interested in Just Dance, very interested by other kinds of games... So what we are trying to do is to focus more on the types of games they are interested in... [Watch Dogs] is coming to Wii U. It will be the only mature game we publish on it," he added.

Ubisoft's lack of support for the console was clear when Assassin's Creed Rogue was not announced for Wii U. Ubisoft, since the start, has been a supporter of Nintendo's hardware.

It was also revealed that Wii U accounted only 3 percent of Ubisoft's total sales.

Meanwhile, Sledgehammer Games and Activision has said that they will not release the upcoming game Call of Duty Advanced Warfare on Wii U. Activision had hinted this, when it did not announce the game for Wii U handheld platform.

To a fan question, wanting to know if the game will be coming on Wii U, Michael Condry, co-founder Sledgehammer tweeted :"No, no WiiU. That was an Activision decision. We are focused on XboxOne, PS4, and PC."

Previously developer Treyarch had worked on the Wii U version for Call of Duty: Ghosts and Black Ops 2.

Nintedo players are just not interested in mature games like Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty Advanced Warfare.

Third-party publisher support for Wii U console is decreasing over time. Everytime there is a new title or a new game from a series, the first question is if it will also be released on Wii U. Now, we can take two popular games off the list.
