With Saturday's colourful opening ceremony providing a perfect start to Asian Games 2018, the 18th edition of the continental extravaganza, on-field action begins on Sunday, August 19.

When does Day 1 action start and how to watch it live 

Day 1 begins as early as 7 am IST, 8:30 am local time, 2:30 am BST. 

Sony Ten 2, Sony ESPN will provide live television coverage of the match in India. Live stream will be available on Sony Liv, Jio TV and Airtel TV.

A lot is expected of the 571-strong Indian contingent at the Games. Shooting and wrestling, in which India are expected to win a lot of medals, have a few medal events as early as on Sunday.

Gold medal prospects Manu Bhaker, Bajrang Punia Sushil Kumar, and Apurvi Chandela among others will be in action tomorrow at the Asian Games

Also in action is the Indian women's hockey team, which reached the quarter-final of World Cup last month, will be opening its campaign on Sunday against hosts Indonesia.

Kidambi Srikanth, HS Prannoy and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty will get a feel of the Games when they come together for the Men's team badminton event against lower-ranked Maldives.
